A summary of results from the 2005-2006 season

Cardinals U8s team:     Red Frog Gala Day runners-up.

Cardinals U10s team:   Zooka Gala Day Champions.

Cardinals U12s team:   Minor Premiers (only one loss!) - runners-up in GRANDFINAL.

Cardinals U14s team:   Minor Premiers  (undefeated!) - runners-up in GRANDFINAL.

Cardinals U16s team:   2nd at end of rounds - lost in Final.

CARDINALS  finished 2nd in the CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS (only 0.031 points behind 1st).

Mark Bush Knockout:  CHAMPIONS, Cardinals U12s win Final 1 - 0 against Eagles.

Cardinals help Illawarra to U10 Country NSW Championship win

Five Cardinals players (Daniel Bridges, Jarrod Bridges, Mitchell Davis, Jackson George & Joel Thompson) have helped Illawarra Blue win the 2006 Under 10 Country NSW Tee-Ball Championship at Gosford on 12-13 AugustCardinals also had Kate Hughes play in the Illawarra Gold team over the same weekend.

The Blue team was undefeated during the tournament registering big wins against all opponents, including the final against Tamworth.
Illawarra Blue U10s and Cardinals Junior Club Coach, Darren Thompson, was extremely pleased with the skill level and dedication shown by all players. Cardinals representation looks good as all above players except Jarrod Bridges are able to participate in this age group again next year.

We are all looking forward to them doing well for Wests Illawarra Cardinals during the forthcoming season.

Cardinals help Illawarra U12 & U14 teams to 2006 CBNSW Titles

Cardinals had excellent representation in the successful U12 & U14 Illawarra teams that participated in the 2006 Country NSW Baseball Championship at Fred Finch on 16-18 September.

Illawarra U12 Blue retained the title with Matthew Bridges playing his part in their undefeated run during the tournament.

Cardinals also had Jack Kerle, Lincoln Mackreth-D'souza, Jarrod Heaton & Liam VanSeumeren playing in the Illawarra U12 Gold team which finished a creditable 4th - all these players are able to participate in this age group again next year.

Five Cardinals players (Jeremy Bec, Jordan Hughes, Dean Kontopoulos, Bradley Ryan, Stephen Smith) were part of the Illawarra U14 Blue's win in the final.

Jeremy, Bradley & Stephen were subsequently selected in the Country NSW U14 train-on squad for the Australian Championships - we wish them all the best with final squad selection.

Looking forward to the all boys carrying the same form into club baseball with Cards this season.

Cardinals make 2006 CBNSW U14 Team

Congratulations to Stephen Smith, Jeremy Bec and Bradley Ryan on their selection in the Country Baseball NSW 2006 Under 14 Team to complete in the National Championships in January at Blacktown Olympic Park. Good Luck boys!
