Season 2009-2010

The 2009-2010 season was quite successful again for the club.

Once again the biggest local club in terms of playing numbers, fielding 10 teams & also won the Club Championship.

Junior Club Coach appointed for Season 2009-2010

The Cardinals Junior Executive have appointed Joshua Dean as Junior Club Coach for the 2009/2010 Season.

Josh has played a significant part in our successful Cardinals 1st grade team over the past four years.
Interestingly Josh was a slightly late starter to baseball. He began in the U15's with Cardinals & quickly progressed to Illawarra & NSW rep teams. Then selected to attend the prestigious MLB Australian Academy where he secured a contract with the Minnesota Twins (MLB) organisation. Subsequently spent a few years in the USA playing in their minor league system, before returning to Australia & last year also played a key role with the successful NSW U23 team.
He is currently completing his PE teaching degree at Wollongong University & playing during summer with Blacktown in the Sydney Major League competition.
He's been pleased to see the clubs recruiting efforts in the past years, getting more kids to play the sport & aims to build further on this by also helping our junior coaches/players where he can.
