The Cardinals Junior Baseball Club fielded 10 teams but unfortunately did not win the Club Championship this year having won the last 9 years in a row.

Our U16 were the premiers in the combined Illawarra/Macarthur competition this year.

We had 81 players participating in our teams, and all players improved throughout the season.


A summary of teams results from the 2016-2017 season:-

Cardinals U6 Teeball team:    All players showed enormous improvement with their understanding and their skill of the game.

Cardinals U8 Teeball Maroon/Gold teams:    Everybody, from our first timers to our experience players, played superb teeball.

Cardinals U10 Zooka Maroon team:  A slow start to the season with mixed results was turned around in the second half with big hitting and smart glove work.

Cardinals U10 Zooka Gold team:  All the kids had a great year with the bat and they got better as the year progressed

Cardinals U12 Maroon team:   Missed the opportunity to play in the finals due to a wash out. 

Cardinals U12 Gold team:   Ended up runners ups after a Grand Final wash out.

Cardinals U14 Gold team:  3rd at the end of the rounds – Just missed out on making the grand final going down to the pirates.

Cardinals U14 Maroon team:  1st at the end of the rounds – Finished as the Premiers after a Grand Final wash out.

Cardinals U16 team:   1st at the end of rounds (highest placed Illawarra team in Macarthur comp) – Won the Grand Final becoming the first Illawarra team to win the MBL competition!

CARDINALS  finished 2nd in the CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP.
